The Cobra Kit car comes in three major flavors:
427 Cobra Roadster — The most popular version. This car has a large enough engine bay to fit the mammoth 427 cubic inch side-oiler that originally powered it in the 1960s.
289 Cobra Roadster — While not as fire-breathing as the 427, the 289 Cobra was actually a more successful racer. The 289 Cobra kit car has less flares than the 427 example, and is tends to be a smaller car (the 427 has been modified typically for "larger" drivers.
289 Cobra Coupe — The Cobra Coupe kit car is the most recent development. Based on the six coupes who fought and won at Le Mans in the 1960s, these coupes are a sleek and enclosed version of the coupe. Several versions exist, with varying levels of accuracy.
